NEO+ monitoring visit in Kazakstan

On October 5, 2021, Karaganda Medical University hosted the monitoring visit from the National Erasmus+ Office for the project 619037-EPP-1-2020-1-EL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “FOR21: Fostering the doctor of the 21st century: education for patient-centered communication”.

The monitoring was carried out by the Director of the National Office of the Erasmus + Program in Kazakhstan Tasbulatova Shaizada. This event was attended by all members of the KMU Project work group as well as by the representatives of KazNMU: Yussupov Rustam – Project Coordinator, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology and Virology and Bagiyarova Fatima – Head of the Project Working Group, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Communication Skills, Associate Professor. The other members of the KazNMU team participated online.

Acting Chairman of the Board – Rector of KMU Turmukhambetova Anar in her greeting emphasized the importance of the FOR 21 Project for the development of patient-centered communicative competencies.

Coordinators of the Project Semenikhina Polina (KMU) and Yussupov Rustam (KazNMU) presented an interim report on the progress of the FOR 21 Project and plans for the implementation of further activities.

The monitoring meeting was of a recommendatory nature for the further implementation of the project. Tasbulatova Shaizada gave recommendations on how to improve the activities of the FOR 21 Project, to correctly build partnerships in the consortium and to disseminate the results of the Project. Additionally, she noted the importance of ensuring the sustainability of the project through the involvement of non-academic partners, institutionalized partners and students.
